Job Description

As a Data Ops and Platform Engineer at Northern Data, you will be instrumental in managing and optimizing our data operations and platform infrastructure. You will focus on automating data workflows, ensuring system reliability, and enhancing the scalability of our data platforms.

This opportunity will enable you to collaborate closely with our Data Team and BI Team to streamline data operations and improve platform performance. You will be responsible for implementing best practices in data operations, monitoring system performance, and troubleshooting issues to ensure seamless data processing.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Design,  implement and operate scalable and resilient cloud architectures to support data infrastructure.
  • Lead efforts to automate operational workflows and enhance CI/CD practices.
  • Implement and maintain monitoring solutions to ensure data availability  system reliability and performance.
  • Collaborate with data engineering  to align operational practices with development workflows.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve data and system architecture and scalability in a cloud native environment.

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 3+ years of experience in DevOps or Platform Engineering with data focus, preferably in a tech environment.
  • Deep understanding of azure cloud infrastructure and the integration into a modern data stack.
  • Mastery of DevOps techniques and Infrastructure as Code preferably Terraform. Knowledge in the operation of machine learning models (MlOps).
  • Experience with monitoring and logging solutions for system and data operations
  • Strong analytical skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving
  • Excellent communication skills in english with a focus on teamwork and collaboration.
