Product Manager - Generative AI Avatar Expression

Generative AI has an opportunity to inject a layer of magic into the metaverse and bend the curve on engagement in Horizon Worlds.

Horizon Experiences is betting big on Generative AI with major investments in NPCs, Creation Tools, and Avatar creation. Within the Avatar org, we are formalizing a Generative AI product pillar to help users tap into this magic through verticals in creation/editing, NPCs, and new forms of self expression.

The Generative AI Expression PM role leads the third pillar, looking at novel ways to creatively turn cutting edge tech into delightful experiences, first in Horizon Worlds, and then elsewhere in the metaverse. Our research shows that users, especially TAYA highly value play/roleplay, but have been limited by the bounds of traditional tech.

The Generative AI Expression PM will partner with Horizon Spaces and Creation to build capabilities/experiences for users to unlock Generative AI powered role play. For example, we can enable world builders to set “dress codes” that automatically help users look the part when visiting their worlds. Or, we can enable instant dress up as a new method of play.

Additionally, they will lead the charge to bring highly personalized 3D emotes to the metaverse, partnering with FAIR to build a new kind of emotes creation experience. Market research and strategy show that Generative AI can be a meaningful lever to drive selection and personalization.

Lastly, they will partner with the Emerging Formats org in content, to help find novel Generative AI powered mechanics that we can formally bring into our program.

We will be hard pressed to succeed in the metaverse without a magical identity that our customers love. Success in this role means focusing on the needs of our customers/creators while tapping into the rapidly evolving capabilities of Generative AI. It also means bringing a 0 to 1 mindset, a creative lens to problem solving, and a focus on finding the fun.Product Manager - Generative AI Avatar Expression Responsibilities

• Finding novel ways to bring Generative AI into Horizon experiences to facilitate roleplay, including how we can use LLM driven editing within worlds or between worlds (style transfer)
• GenAI powered Emotes, leveraging the FAIR team’s model or Media2Expression model to bring into Horizon Worlds (and other experiences next)
• Partner with Emerging Formats Team from Content Organization on building new experiences that push on novel mechanics.

Minimum Qualifications

• 1+ years product management experience with experience on hardware platforms or equivalent experience
• Experience managing delivery of 1 or more hardware/software products
• Experience managing and overseeing multiple on-going initiatives simultaneously
• Requires a Bachelor's degree (or foreign degree equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Analytics, Mathematics, Physics, Applied Sciences, or a related field
