We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer for our client in the banking sector. This role focuses on developing, optimizing, and maintaining robust data pipelines and ETL processes. The ideal candidate will have experience with Linux, scripting, and data integration tools, and bring expertise in data management to support critical banking operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Data Pipeline Development and Optimization:
- Design, build, and maintain efficient ETL processes using DataStage to ensure reliable data integration and flow.
- Implement best practices to optimize data pipelines for performance, scalability, and accuracy.
Data Management and Scripting:
- Utilize SQL for data extraction, transformation, and load (ETL) tasks, ensuring data quality and consistency across systems.
- Develop and manage Shell scripts on Linux for process automation and improved operational efficiency.
Version Control and Collaboration:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams using Git for version control, ensuring transparent, consistent, and well-documented development processes.

Technical Skills:
- Proficient in Linux, Shell scripting, SQL, DataStage, and Git.
Soft Skills:
- Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and collaborative teamwork.
