Cloud Engineer

We are looking for a talented and highly skilled Consultant with a technical background to join our team. As a Consultant, you will be responsible for providing expert guidance and technical support to our clients in leveraging cloud-based machine learning solutions, with a specific focus on AI Platforms, both using On-Premises systems and Cloud Providers. The ideal candidate for this role possesses a solid background in Server Engineering, Software Development, knowledge of Cloud Solutions, and shares our passion for Data and AI.

Responsibilities:

• Consult with clients to understand their business objectives and machine learning requirements.
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable, robust AI/ML platforms to support end-to-end workflows.
• Build and optimize infrastructure to support ML model training, deployment, monitoring, and version control.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement machine learning models and algorithms.
• Stay up to date with the latest trends and advancements in cloud-based technologies, specifically in AWS and Azure.
• You can advise clients on strategic decisions and you take ownership of the implementation of the suggested solutions.
• Ensure proactive fulfillment of security-related requirements.

Requirements

Minimum Job Requirements / Qualifications:

• Successfully completed university studies with a strong quantitative background, for example in Business Informatics, Data Science, Informatics, Computer Science, or similar.
• Previous experience and/or interest in the area of Artificial Intelligence projects and Cloud.
• Project experience, either through internships or similar corporate experience, in designing complex Cloud-based solutions.
• Expertise in networking technologies, storage systems, virtual environments, and container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.

• Skilled in managing and maintaining Linux-based on-premises infrastructure.

• Comprehensive knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, automation tools, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) technologies like Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Expertise in Python.
• Experience employing and managing databases (SQL, NoSQL)
• Experience in leading and executing software projects for cloud migration and optimization
• Ability to convincingly communicate and present analytical results to management.
• We cover the full lifecycle of Data, from Cloud Infrastructure, Data Engineering, Data Analytics, and Visualization to ML Engineering to and MLOps. Interest and/or experience in some of those fields is an advantage.
• Fluent in English and able to speak German at least at a C1 Level.

Desired:

• Extensive experience working in cloud technologies (AWS, Azure).
• Certificates from Cloud Providers are an advantage.
• Understanding of underlying database infrastructure (data models, ETL processes).
• Expert at Kubernetes and/or Docker.
• 2+ years working on DevOps Projects or similar
• Interest in (agile) project management
