Position Summary:

Wea are seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager (TPM) to lead a high-impact data platform project for a major automotive OEM client. This role involves architecting, managing, and overseeing the implementation of a data utilization platform on AWS, along with developing new GenAI capabilities. The ideal candidate will be adept in AWS architecture, MLOps, and managing global teams while ensuring smooth project execution despite differences in time zones and cultural backgrounds. This role requires a deep understanding of data platform management, excellent communication skills, and experience working with offshore and onshore teams.

Requirements

Description / Essential Functions:

  • Engage with the client to gather, analyze, and understand project requirements.
  • Translate client requirements into an effective AWS-based data platform architecture that meets business objectives.
  • Plan and manage project timelines, deliverables, and resources to ensure on-time and on-budget delivery.
  • Design the architecture of the data platform on AWS, ensuring scalability, security, and efficiency.
  • Lead the development of GenAI functionalities, integrating existing data into AI model training workflows and establishing MLOps processes for model versioning and updates.
  • Coordinate with onshore and offshore engineers to implement the data platform and ensure smooth team collaboration.
  • Address cultural and time zone challenges to enable efficient communication between US, Japan, and India-based teams.
  • Track project progress, identify and mitigate risks, and report project status to stakeholders.
  • Create comprehensive project documentation and deliver presentations to convey project insights, challenges, and outcomes to stakeholders.
  • Foster clear communication channels with all stakeholders, including the client and technical team members.

 

Required Education & Experience:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

    Experience:

    • 5+ years in technical project management roles within IT, focusing on AWS-based solutions.
    • Proven experience managing data platforms or data utilization infrastructure projects.
    • Hands-on experience in MLOps and familiarity with GenAI model integration and maintenance.

    • Deep understanding of AWS cloud architecture, services, and best practices.
    • Strong project management skills, with a history of leading projects across diverse time zones and cultural backgrounds.
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex technical details to non-technical stakeholders.

     

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Certification in AWS (Solutions Architect or similar).
    • Certification in Project Management (PMP, CSM or similar)
    • Experience working with Japanese clients and familiarity with Japanese business culture.
    • Knowledge of automotive industry data standards and typical data utilization use cases
