Job Summary:

FreedX is seeking an experienced Senior Quant Trader with 2+ years of expertise in quantitative trading, specifically within cryptocurrency markets or similar asset classes. This individual will lead the development and execution of quantitative trading and market-making strategies, while actively managing risk and liquidity. The role requires deep proficiency in Python, algorithmic execution, and the ability to develop predictive models using advanced statistical techniques. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in spot and derivatives markets, ensuring competitive pricing and efficient market-making across volatile trading environments

Key Responsibilities:

• Market Strategy Development: Develop and implement quantitative trading and market-making strategies for spot and derivative markets, optimizing for liquidity depth, profitability, and risk.
• Position Monitoring: Monitor and manage trading positions, ensuring alignment with risk appetite and market conditions.
• Liquidation Monitoring: Manage and monitor liquidation procedures to ensure timely and efficient liquidation of trader positions.
• Strategy Analysis: Perform post-trade analysis to refine strategies and enhance trading performance.
• Cross Unit Leadership: Lead and collaborate with quantitative developers to integrate new tools and features into our trading infrastructure.
• Strategy Innovation: Identify new trading opportunities, leveraging data analysis to inform decision-making.
• Innovation and Technology Integration: Stay updated on crypto market trends and evolving technologies to maintain competitive trading strategies.
• Team Leadership: Lead and mentor junior traders and quantitative analysts, promoting a culture of innovation, discipline, and adherence to best practices in trading and risk management.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Education: Masters in a quantitative field such as mathematics, statistics, computer science, or engineering.
• Experience: 2+ years of experience in quantitative trading, market-making, or proprietary trading and risk management, in cryptocurrency markets or similar asset classes.
• Programming: Proficiency in Python and a strong understanding of statistical modeling and algorithmic trading.
• Exceptional skillset: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a deep understanding of market dynamics.
