What you'll do
As a Data & Analytics Analyst, you’ll be providing high quality analytical input to support the development and implementation of innovative processes and problem resolution to support our Investment Banking back-office team. You’ll work with cross-functional teams to develop and implement predictive and NLP models, conduct data analysis, develop GenAI based solutions, and support new tools research to drive high-impact business outcomes. As well as performing data extraction, storage, manipulation, processing and data analysis (EDA), you’ll be responsible for conducting and supporting options analysis, identifying the most appropriate solution.
You’ll also be responsible for:
- Building predictive models using advanced statistical and machine learning techniques to inform funding predictions, settlement failures, and risk assessment, and to build customer insights
- Applying various text analytics techniques such as NLTK, Gensim, Word2Vec, FastText, and GLOVE, and deploying models on intent or sentiment analysis
- Collaborating with other tech teams to deploy GenAI assistants, optimise prompt builder and lead GenAI foundation capabilities
- Implementing visualisations to track performance metrics and KPI, preferably using Matplotlib, Plotly, and Bokeh, and deployment using Streamlit and Flask
- Leveraging cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, GCP, Snowflake and services such as SageMaker, S3, Bedrock, Azure OpenAI, Snowflake GenAI and DocumentAI
- Staying up to date with new data science techniques, tools, and industry best practices to continuously improve analytics capabilities
The skills you'll need
You’ll need a background in business analysis tools and techniques, along with the ability to influence through communications tailored to a specific audience. Along with the ability to use core technical skills, you’ll have strong analytic and problem solving abilities, and a keen eye for detail. Experience with data visualisation using python tools like Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms would be beneficial, as would knowledge of finance and investment banking principles.
Additionally, you’ll need:
- 8-10 years of professional experience, at least three of which in data science, ideally within investment banking, financial services, or a related industry
- Proficiency in Python, with strong skills in statistical and machine learning libraries covering pandas, scikit-learn, TensorFlow, NLTK, and Streamlit
- Hands-on experience with SQL and databases for data extraction, transformation, and loading covering PyODBC and SQL Alchemy
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, GCP, and Snowflake
