The Demand Manager contributes to meet financial, inventory, and shipment goals. The appropriate candidate will leverage data science concepts to enhance the demand planning process of Rig Technologies, feed ERP planning tools and materials requirements to execute forecasting strategy and identify constraints in Resource / capacity that impact the ability to execute the plan.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborate with Sales, PLM, and Manufacturing facilities to consolidate demand for assigned product(s) as part of Executive IBP process.
  • Understand market conditions & manage response to changes via demand sensing, trend review, and adherence to company inventory guidelines and policies.
  • Design, implement, and sustain complex data pipelines in Snowflake, using Python, SQL, and other programming languages. 
  • Design, implement, and sustain advanced visualization tools using Power BI and other similar applications. 
  • Leverage big data to conduct predictive analytics in terms of inventory levels, procurement constraints, etc.
  • Enter Build Plan(s) into ERP systems to support use of ERP planning tools. 
  • Work cross functionally to determine manufacturing capabilities, and optimal inventory levels, while identifying gaps between supply and demand to proactively to facilitate mitigations.
  • Prepare and present summarized forecast plan to Rig Technologies’ senior Leadership.
  • Propose recommendations to resolve gaps including financial / impact analysis.
  • Collaborate with Supplier Development Engineers to reduce critical path item lead times.
  • Leveraging delayed differentiation, encourage implementation CTO manufacturing strategies in facilities.
  • Comply with all NOV Company and HSE policies and procedures.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management and/or industrial engineering, and /or management information systems or related fields.
  • 5+ years of operations planning, scheduling and/or forecasting experience using MRP systems.
  • Oracle EBS (Inventory, WIP, BOM) & ASCP experience preferred.
  • Oracle Cloud experience preferred. 
  • Experience working in an ETO or MTO business environment.
  • Experience with QRM, Lean, and / or other continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Experience with demand planning and/or Resource Capacity Planning.

  • Must possess a strong analytical background to assess, evaluate, and recommend changes to the process and the systems.

  • Ability to meet or exceed standards as established by the department.
  • Must be capable of managing multiple priorities and projects at the same time.
  • Assertive and can drive urgency when problems arise with making new components. 
  • Ability to drive teamwork between groups and cross functional teams.
  • Ability to drive issues to closure and get job done in professional and compliant manner.
  • Ability to adapt and be cross-trained to learn all job duties.
