ITE Management, a leading investment manager and private equity firm specializing in the acquisition of transportation equipment and asset operating platforms in the infrastructure sector, is seeking an Business Intelligence and Data Analytics Lead in New York. Founded in 2014, ITE targets real asset investment opportunities that are cash yielding with downside protection, and benefit from a team with deep, longstanding relationships and financial and operating expertise.  Today, the firm manages over $9bn of assets globally across rail, intermodal, aviation, and emerging technology strategies with office locations in NYC, Chicago and St. Louis.

We are seeking a talented Business Intelligence and Data Analytics Manager to lead our team of data analysts and data engineers to drive improved data processes and generate new insights from our data. The ideal candidate is passionate about data and enjoys finding new ways to use it, has a strong background in data management and analysis, and the ability to work closely with business and technical stakeholders to identify needs and develop data-driven solutions. 

  • Team Leadership: Lead a team of business intelligence and data analysts, and data engineers, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure high-quality output and professional growth. 
  • Project Management: Prioritize, lead, and manage business, data, and data analytics projects, ensuring timely delivery and quality. 
  • Data and Data Analytics Strategy: Work closely with CTO to develop and implement data and data analytics strategy aligned with overall data analytics roadmap and organizational goals and objectives. 
  • Data Analysis and Visualization: Develop and maintain complex data models, reports, dashboards, and visualizations to communicate complex data insights and support business decision-making 
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with business leaders to identify needs, develop solutions, and present findings to drive business outcomes. 
  • Data Quality and Governance: Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and compliance with organizational standards and regulations. 
  • Tool Development and Management: Oversee the development and maintenance of data analytics tools, platforms, and infrastructure. 
  • Innovation and Best Practices: Stay up to date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to continuously improve data infrastructure and analytical capabilities. 

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, mathematics, statistics, or related field (STEM); Master’s degree preferred. 
  • Experience: At least 5 years of experience in a business intelligence or data analytics role, with 2+ years in a leadership or management role  
  • Skills: 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills 
  • Broad experience with data manipulation and analysis (SQL and e.g. Python, R, etc.) 
  • High proficiency with business analytics tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Qlik) 
  • Experience with data modeling, data warehousing, and ELT processes 
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills 
  • Organized with good project management skills 
  • Strong understanding of data governance and quality principles 
  • Cloud Platform: Familiarity with cloud-based business intelligence and data analytics platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, GCP). 

Nice to Have 

  • Agile Practitioner: Experience with Agile project management methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban). 
  • Domain Expertise: Experience working in the financial industry - real assets a plus 

Salary Range:

  • Estimated base salary range for this position is: $150,000-$185,000. Employees may also be eligible for an annual discretionary incentive compensation award. Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, qualifications, and geographic location.
