- Proactively drive the vision for Business Intelligence (BI) and Data Warehousing across a product vertical, and define and execute on a plan to achieve that vision.
- Define the processes needed to achieve operational excellence in all areas, including project management and system reliability.
- Build a high quality BI and Data Warehousing team and design the team to scale.
- Build cross-functional relationships with Data Scientists, Product Managers and Software Engineers to understand data needs and deliver on those needs.
- Manage data warehouse plans across a product vertical.
- Drive the design, building, and launching of new data models and data pipelines in production.
- Manage development of data resources and support new product launches.
- Drive data quality across the product vertical and related business areas.
- Manage the delivery of high impact dashboards and data visualizations.
- Define and manage SLA’s for all data sets and processes running in production.
- Requires a Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Software, Engineering, Management Information Systems, Applied Sciences, Mathematics, Analytics, Physics, or related field and two years of work experience in the job offered or in a computer-related occupation.
- Requires two years of experience in the following:
- 1. Development in SQL and at least one of the following object-oriented languages: Python, Perl, or Java
- 2. Recruiting and managing technical teams, including performance management
- 3. Architecting, developing, and shipping software products and/or services
- 4. Management experience with technical teams, or experience as a technical lead or project manager
- 5. Building data products including front end visualization technologies interfacing with backend systems
- 6. Leading data driven discussions & designing scalable data platforms for analytics
- 7. Analyzing data to identify deliverables, gaps and inconsistencies
- 8. Designing and developing distributed systems, storage systems, or cache and data distribution infrastructure
- 9. Applied statistics, including experimentation and regression modeling
- 10. Troubleshooting and diagnosing problems in large-scale systems
- 11. Coordinating large-scale, cross-functional efforts that span different teams
- 12. Developing and managing requirements, and making data-driven decisions
- 13. Leading strategic implementation and planning for risk and growth.
