As part of the Chief Data Office, collaborating closely with Finance and Group Risk Management teams, the Associate Director will be responsible for assisting in building and maintaining a comprehensive inventory of data management practice components for each Finance and Risk domains.

What is the opportunity?

As part of the Chief Data Office, collaborating closely with Finance and Group Risk Management teams, the Associate Director will be responsible for assisting in building and maintaining a comprehensive inventory of data management practice components for each Finance and Risk domains.

What will you do?

  • Ensures integrity and trust in Finance and Risk data. Identifies and collects data sources, evaluates and monitors data quality to meet the organization's data governance standards, policies and processes.
  • Ensures all data captured is defined and documented and assists and participates in data validation and cleaning to ensure the quality and integrity of data.
  • Document and analyze data management gaps against domain strategy Prioritize business needs, data management gaps to support funding and business case development
  • Partner with CDO shared services to solidify options and provide quality/ timely execution services to Finance and Risk domains
  • Work with Finance and Risk domains on opportunities or initiates for business and process improvement through better use of data including Analytics, Visualization and Artificial Intelligence (AI), Data Quality, and Data Product design.
  • Assist the operation of the Finance and Risk Data Management Council for the Finance and Risk data domains

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • Specific experience in Finance or Risk with understanding of key processes and data
  • Skills in data strategy and data management
  • Undergraduate degree, ideally in business or finance.

Nice-to-have

  • Data analytics and reporting skills
  • Effective time management, multi-tasking and organizational skills to meet tight timeframes as well as flexibility to adapt to changing priorities
  • Experience with regulators, regulatory examinations, and program execution
