About the Senior Data Scientist role...

The Senior Data Scientist will have experience in building and maintaining large-scale datasets and to facilitate the training of ML models. The candidate will be responsible for constructing, maintaining, and analysing extensive datasets pertaining to the Sales department to support the development of advanced AI models for bridging data quality-related gaps in prospect accounts using various imputation methodologies and developing/enhancing a robust propensity to buy model to prioritise best prospects for targeted sales. The data scientist will work closely with the data engineering team and sales teams to understand data requirements and build high-quality summary layers from diverse sources.

What you'll do...

• Building high-quality datasets: Contribute to building a diverse accurate datasets from various data sources on different source systems

• Data Processing and Analysis: Implement scripts to summarise large datasets, extracting and labelling key features required for training ML models

• Identify, engineer, and select relevant features from raw data to improve the performance and accuracy of AI models for identifying best prospects

• Apply domain knowledge in sales to develop innovative feature sets that capture the complexities of prospect hoteliers

• Maintain clear documentation related to model development processes, and experimental results

• Share knowledge and insights gained from research and model development with the broader team to promote best practices and continuous learning

What you'll have...

• Extensive and strong background in programming; experience with R/Python is mandatory.

• Expert knowledge of SQL and has proficiency in working with cloud computing platforms (e.g., Snowflake - Cortex, AWS)

• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git)

• Wide experience in CRM tools such as Salesforce and understanding of data warehousing or database management concepts

Desirable Skills:

• PhD or Masters in Machine Learning, Computer Science or Data Science

• Broad experience and knowledge of big data technologies

• Background in working with very large datasets and MLOps practices and tools for model deployment and lifecycle management

• Strong background and experience in creating dashboards using visualisation tools like Tableau.
