Our TechniBlend team is seeking a talented Business Intelligence Engineer that is a part of a collaborative cross-functional team responsible for the entire project lifecycle from design to deployment of software for industrial controls systems on TechniBlend projects and initiatives.
Are you passionate about this work?
- Design, develop, test, and deploy software solutions that integrate with TechniBlend and customer SCADA, PLC, MES, and ERP systems.
- Specify, setup, and deploy HMI, Server, PC, and Virtualized System infrastructure.
- Support and manage TechniBlend provided remote connection and VPN solutions for customer support.
- Create and maintain software tools and reports for monitoring manufacturing systems' health and performance.
- Collaborate with internal and external engineering, production, and IT teams to understand, automate, report, and collect data on key manufacturing processes.
- Create detailed technical documentation, including design specs, user manuals, system architecture, and training materials.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for software-related issues in production environments.
- Ensure minimal disruption to manufacturing operations by quickly diagnosing and resolving software bugs and issues.
- Ability to perform in-house functional testing in a test environment, customer functional acceptance testing, and onsite acceptance testing and startup.
- Develop a functional understanding of our products, systems, and solutions.
- Implement continuous improvement strategies to streamline data collection, storage, and analysis.

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience as a Business Intelligence or software engineer, ideally in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Experience with SCADA, PLC, MES, and ERP or process control systems.
- Experience with database management systems (e.g. SQL, Oracle) and data integration tools.
- Familiarity with industrial automation software and protocols (e.g. OPC, PLC programming).
- Knowledge of IIoT platforms and OT/IT Integration.
- Self-motivated team player with high level of interpersonal and presentation skills.
- Experience in Allen Bradley PLC, Rockwell HMI, Microsoft Visual Basic and Ignition HMI programming.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office software
- Willingness to travel up to 20%.
