Overview of role

The Manager position is a new role in our expanding Data Strategy practice for the Universal Film Entertainment Group, where we support our clients vision to transform their business through the power of data and technology. 

 

The role will focus on how we can best leverage audience data (1st, 2nd, 3rd) for Universal Pictures International, supporting the  adoption of a data-driven approach across our local agency network. The role will entail a mix of strategy, technical consultation and stakeholder engagement 

 

You will work hand-in-hand with other key disciplines within the group and our client teams who work across our US, London and International offices

Measures of success

In three months, you would have:

  • Developed a positive working relationship with key client stakeholders, understanding their challenges & objectives, and worked on your first client-facing audience data project

  • Become a key part of our Data & Tech team, building relationships with Central and territory teams based on mutual trust, respect and understanding.

In six months, you would have:

  • Completed your first audience data project end-to-end with the support of your manager, starting with a brief through to presenting work to the client and local agency teams

In 12 months, you would have:

  • Worked across a number of data-driven client projects, taking increasing ownership to deliver different project elements.

  • Firmly established yourself as a respected voice when it comes to audience data and the value it can bring for our local agency network

Responsibilities of the role

  • Support the Data Strategy Global lead on several key audience data projects, helping the client and the agency teams advance their use of 1st, 2nd  & 3rd party audience data 
  • Working across the product lifecyle to understand audience engagement & targeting from pre-theatrical (film) release to the home entertainment window.
  • Be responsible for 1st Party audience creation and management for our local teams i.e. Google Analytics 4
  • Identify new audience data opportunities, working and vetting data & media partners for suitability and strategic alignment against our clients goals
  • Be a key point of contact for our International agency network, sharing best practice audience data strategy, nurturing collaboration and engagement

  • Work with Analytics and local markets to identify ways to validate hypothesis around the use of audience data and share back learnings to our Global clients

 What you will need

  • To be passionate about all things digital, data and technology with a strong interest in the digital marketing landscape and industry trends

  • To be motivated by an understanding of consumer behaviour and what drives someone to purchase. Experience in consumer research methodology and tools (i.e. TGI, GWI, YouGov, Social Listening) is a plus

  • Hands-on knowledge of working with 1st (especially Google Analytics), 2nd and 3rd party data

  • Experience in using at least one of the key digital media platforms, in particular, DV360, Campaign Manager, Google Ads, Amazon Ads, and Meta Ads Manager - whether this was in a Planning, Activation, Analytics or Data & Tech capacity

  • Experience working in the Entertainment / Film industry is desirable
  • Strong client services and project management skills, with the ability to distil complex ideas and technical requirements into actionable insights and next steps.
