We are looking for a control/software engineer to join our Power Plant Controller development team. The Power Plant Controller ensures that a renewable power plant like a wind farm can be compliant with the electrical power grid requirements.
 

How to contribute to our vision 

  • Development of Power Plant Controller features,

  • Write automated regression tests to assert correct control behavior,

  • Test model performance and analysis results. Provide inputs to other departments,

  • Contribute to requirements alignment with stakeholders

  • Remote troubleshooting/event analysis of power plant operation

  • Power Plant Controller system certification ( generic and/or country specific )

What you need to make a difference


Technical Knowledge in Control System engineering:

  • Closed loop control Active Power and Voltage control

  • Transmission and distribution networks,

  • Grid elements: (power transformers, power cables, reactive power compensation devices, protection and distribution of MV grids...),

  • Power electronics,

  • Electrical machines,

  • Hybrid power plants

   

Software Programming Skills

  • C++ and C# programming

  • MATLAB and Simulink knowledge, would be an advantage

  • Python (Adhoc data analysis and/or auxiliary programs) would be an added advantage.

  • Agile development experience with SAFe methodology would be an added advantage.

Other Skills

  • Good interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate technical topics clearly and concisely.

  • Self-motivated with the ability to take the initiative in finding innovative solutions to complex technical challenges.

  • It is important that you are a dedicated team player, and you thrive in a multi-cultural environment – just as you possess fluency in spoken and written English
