AGCO is looking to hire candidates for the position of Data Strategy Lead. The Data Strategy Lead will be responsible and accountable for the overall design, development, and execution of the organization’s Data strategy. This role will oversee a team of Data Strategy Specialists who work at the function level, ensuring that all strategic initiatives align with business objectives and drive data-driven decision making. The Data Strategy Lead will act as a key liaison between various operational teams, fostering collaboration and ensuring effective integration of data practices across the organization. Additionally, this role will ensure proper record management for the business continuity. The role reports to Sr. Manager, Data Governance Strategy that is in the overall data & AI governance function.
Your Impact
- Develop and lead the overarching Data strategy for the organization, ensuring alignment with business goals and market trends.
- Oversee the work of two Data Strategy Specialists, providing guidance, mentorship, and support in their efforts to implement data strategies at the function level.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to foster professional growth within the team.
- Collaborate with business leaders and stakeholders to understand their data needs and ensure that Data strategies are effectively integrated into their operations.
- Translate the Data strategy into actionable initiatives, coordinating efforts across teams to drive implementation and measure effectiveness.
- Ensure the execution of data governance policies and best practices across the organization.
- Establish KPIs to evaluate the success of data strategy initiatives and ensure continuous improvement.
- Monitor progress and provide regular updates to senior leadership on the status of strategic initiatives.
- Develop training programs and materials to enhance the capabilities of the team and ensure alignment with Data strategies.
- Foster a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous learning within the Data Strategy team and across the organization.
Your Experience and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field.
- Around 7+ years of experience in data strategy, governance, or management roles, with a focus on cross functional collaboration.
- Strong knowledge of data architecture, governance, compliance, and data stewardship principles.
- Experience working with security, legal, and compliance teams on data privacy and regulatory matters.
- Excellent project management and stakeholder engagement skills, with a proven ability to drive enterprise-wide initiatives.
- Experience in managing data governance frameworks and strategies in large, matrixed organizations.
- Strong understanding of the intersection between data security, legal compliance, and business processes.
