WHAT TO EXPECT

Join our Manufacturing Excellence division as a Data Engineer! 

You will be involved in a variety of data engineering activities for the Manufacturing function to create industrialised data assets to support the creation of analytic products.  These data assets will be created in line with JLR Data Engineering standards to ensure robust data is trusted, and accurate.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
 
•    Undertake data engineering activities to create industrialised data assets for the Manufacturing function
•    Undertake data engineering for industrialisation (technological deployment)
•    Fix problems with products as required, escalate where needed
•    Perform data modelling for data assets
•    Input into digital solutions and data assets in the cloud
 
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
 

Essential:
•    Strong working knowledge of Python (or similar)
•    Strong working knowledge in SQL (e.g., joins, CTEs, UDFs, stored procedures)
•    Previous experience in Data Analysis and Architecture in Manufacturing 
•    Previous experience in architecting small to medium-sized data products and data pipelining
•    Previous experience and knowledge of various cloud data management platforms (GCP, AWS, Azure), and of various data management tools (i.e. SDS etc.) & MS Excel / Access
