Production Specialist

Role Purpose:

Under broad guidance, manages the on-going daily production for a specific area to an agreed schedule and to client specification.

Responsible for the QC production, data investigations and resolutions of client inquiries for the assigned ANZ (Australia and New Zealand) offerings.

Communicates findings and provides recommendations arising from data validations conducted during QC production and query investigation for both internal and external clients.

Develops and implements additional quality control/assurance system to further improve data processing and quality.

Principal Accountabilities:

• Ensures that the appropriate processes are adequately documented and followed across all systems.
• Converts data received from the data suppliers into IQVIA standard format as per instructions.
• Received sales, product, manufacturer and customer files are processed using the relevant IQVIA applications and procedures to produce the relevant coding for the period.
• Oversees all quality assurance testing and ensures that all testing is carried out prior to deliverable despatch.
• Responsible for timely completion of all QC-related production tasks including the off-cycle reports and other relevant tasks.
• Conducts various checks to capture any data anomaly prior to the release of client deliverables.
• Maintains the data quality by analyzing various reports that generate transactions which have potential issues.
• Performs data checks by analyzing results and trends on supplier data.
• Provides impact analysis of identified data corrections.
• Understands and can effectively communicate routine database processes.
• Serves as subject resource on relevant production area, answering queries.
• Reviews problems arising during the process and ensures successful resolution.
• Communicates actively with other departments to inform of task status or to resolve problems.
• Escalates issues requiring second-level support to appropriate individuals using the established call escalation procedures.
• May provide input for new system development, including requirement gathering, UAT and implementation.
• Contributes on identifying process improvement opportunities.
• Perform functions as directed by the Team Lead.

Minimum Education, Experience, & Specialized Knowledge Required:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with minimum of four (4) years experience in relevant production area and two (2) years’ experience in supervisory capacity
• Preferably graduate of Mathematics, Statistics, Information Technology, Computer Science or other technical related fields.
• Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrates good problem solving and analytical skills.
• Has a strong customer focus, an attention to detail, good analytical and problem solving skills.
• Ability to proactively identify complex problems and develop solutions or provide recommendations to solve problems.
• Ability to guide the work of others within a team environment.
• Ability to work under time constraints and changing work volumes.
• Strong PC literacy skills including MS Excel and MS Access.
• Sound technical skills in Python and SQL with an understanding of relational databases.

Typically reports to: Team Lead, Production

Additional Requirements:

• The job requires flexibility to adapt with the rules and requirements of the process which require quick grasp, analyzation, critical thinking, and strong decision making that resulted in a high quality of output.
• The job requires flexibility to transition to a new project will require quick grasp on different processes from time to time.
• General knowledge of the company's products and pharmaceutical industry or field specific to a major function.
