Technical Business Analyst

The Opportunity: 

You know that true progress is made at the intersection of business and tech, and as an IT Business Analyst, you’re highly skilled in both. Here, you’ll have the chance to work with an agile team as they develop digital products to support your clients’ most pressing missions. We’re looking for someone like you to propel business analytics and processes forward, as well as delve into technology trends to deliver user-friendly client experiences.  

As an IT Business Analyst, you’ll develop leading-edge applications, websites, and products that promote user experience and solve complex client challenges. Partnering with your team of cross-functional experts including developers, testers business analysts, data scientists, user experience specialists, and cloud engineers and leading security and machine engineers you’ll identify clients’ business needs, gather user requirements, and develop user stories. You’ll understand the overall direction and nuanced user needs clearly, and you’ll lead your team as they fulfill these needs by creating deployable features. Together, you’ll deliver high business value products to citizens and federal employees. Due to the nature of work performed within this facility, U.S. citizenship is required.

You Have: 

  • 5+ years of experience in requirements gathering, analysis, business analysis, and documentation techniques, such as use cases, user stories, and process flows

  • Experience as a business analyst

  • Experience with SaaS solutions, such as Salesforce and ServiceNow

  • Experience in JIRA, Confluence, or similar tools

  • Experience in data analysis and of data modeling concepts

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team

  • Public Trust

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Technology

  

Nice If You Have: 

  • Experience with software development, such as SQL or Python

  • Experience with data visualization tools, such as Power BI or Tableau

  • Knowledge of cloud technologies, such as AWS, Azure, or GCP

  • Knowledge of machine learning or artificial intelligence concepts

  • Possession of strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve complex business issues

  • Possession of excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders

  • Business Analysis, Product Management, or Agile Practices Certifications

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $75,600.00 to $172,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
