This position provides an opportunity to transition from other private, public, government or military environments to a Solventum career.

As a(n) DevOps Engineer you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

  • Create automation and tools for solutions for monitoring and support required to provision, update and maintain complex, highly available applications.  It requires script development using industry-standard tools of Linux and AWS, including Puppet, AWS and orchestration tools.
  • Architect systems with automation for security, scalability, reliability, and performance.
  • Function as liaison with vendors and product teams to highlight security, architecture and operational perspectives to the SDLC, and provide deliverables on schedules
  • Support internal customers, external customers, corporate IT, and vendor IT at superior levels of consultation and follow-up.  This includes supporting upgrades and resolution of production problems in a timely manner for operational systems.
  • Perform as subject matter expert and cross-team coordinator for these efforts
  • Willingness to be on-call – the team rotates on-call duties to support our customers during off hours.

Your Skills and Expertise 
 

To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher AND (10) years of experience in software development and operations

        Or

  • High School Diploma/GED from AND 14 years of experience in software development and operations

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

[Master's]  degree in Engineering or Computer Science, or a Graduate technical degree from an accredited institution Hold an AWS certification Five (5) years of Demonstrated advanced experience with automation, scripting or programming related to setup and maintenance of Linux servers and services, including networking, credentialing, high availability, and load balancing solutions, common development and system administration tools, and using and supporting CI/CD pipelines. Skills include: Demonstrated advanced experience with Linux Server administration, AWS, Fedora and Red Hat Linux, and scripting or programming such as bash, Python or Ruby.  Demonstrated advanced experience with deployment, maintenance, monitoring, debug and troubleshooting using Amazon Web Services (AWS) CLI and SDKs, AWS Code* suite, Puppet or similar tools, and virtual machine environments in cloud systems 7 years of experience deploying and supporting monitoring solutions in co-located facilities, managed virtual, or public and private clouds.  5 years of experience supporting Linux based applications in hosted environments  5 years of experience supporting Linux systems and solutions through automation.  3 years of deploying and managing systems in AWS  Current, valid Driver’s License.

Applicable to US Applicants Only:The expected compensation range for this position is $119,076 - $145,537, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s relevant knowledge, training, skills, work location, and/or experience. In addition, this position may be eligible for a range of benefits (e.g., Medical, Dental & Vision, Health Savings Accounts, Health Care & Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts, Disability Benefits, Life Insurance, Voluntary Benefits, Paid Absences and Retirement Benefits, etc.).
