As a Data Architect, you will be a key member of a dynamic team of IT professionals responsible for developing strategies for data warehouse implementations including design and construction of database objects, OLAP cubes, ETL and reporting. This person will be responsible for enterprise projects, Data Analytics, Master Data Management, and Integration with in-house, and vendor supplied application databases. They will work with Enterprise Architect, development teams, and the business to deliver business insight to the enterprise.

What Will You Do?
  • Partner with business groups, product management, and digital/IT groups to provide vision and thought leadership to support the creation, execution of the enterprise data strategy
  • Work with data engineers, data analysts, and software engineers to develop efficient, flexible data models across source systems, operational data stores, and analytics data stores
  • Create, document, maintain, and drive the understanding of data models and technical standards across all data producers, modelers, and consumers
  • Ensure the usability of the analytical enterprise data model for data consumers from a technical perspective
  • Provide architectural direction to various teams and work streams, balancing the strategic approach with tactical needs
  • Research industry trends related to enterprise data and incorporate best practices into the roadmap and solutions
  • Evaluate and analyze data sources and optimize queries to ensure optimal retrieval and modification of underlying data
  • Assist team members in reviewing and optimizing data access used in enterprise applications and systems
  • Support database administrators in troubleshooting performance issues and assist in optimizing database performance
  • Work directly with the business units to provide analytical support and report creation, with the goal of developing solutions to empower and enable end users to create ad hoc reports and analyze relevant data
  • Apply best practices in Enterprise Analytics based on business systems, IoT, and 3rd party data sources
  • Design and manage partitions, fact and dimensional tables, OLAP cubes, and appropriate data security.
  • Manage the nightly data integration jobs loading data into the Data Warehouse and the master data services hub from all sources.
  • Develop and deploy cubes, dimensions and measures, calculated measurements as required, and manage security authorization.
  • Consult with business customers to ensure alignment of projects and development efforts with business needs and strategic goals
Qualifications
Required Skills
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in creating, communicating, and implementing scalable enterprise analytic solutions
  • Must possess excellent project management skills, including demonstrated ability to develop and manage to a project plan, establish priorities, work to deadlines and control multiple projects at various stages of work.
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communications skills and be able to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.
  • Must be an effective listener, extract necessary information and validate understanding of the information.
  • A track record of working with business partners to extract data modeling requirements from business needs
  • Must have a demonstrated history of successfully working with development teams within a corporate hierarchy.
  • Independent, motivated, critical thinker and strong self-learner
  • BS/MS in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
  • Experience in architecting and implementing Enterprise Big Data solutions combining structured and semi structured data together to deliver business insight
  • Experience with Azure synapse / SQL Data Warehouse beneficial but not required.
  • Experience in relational and non-relational data models
  • Experience in data profiling and mapping
  • Skills and experience in design, construction, administration, and monitoring Data Warehouses using Microsoft SQL Server and SSAS to deliver business insights to the organization
  • Experience with the Microsoft Technology stack (SQL Server 2012-2019, Azure Synapse, and Visual Studio 2012/2015/2019), Power BI, SSRS, SharePoint, Excel PowerPivot, and SAP BW
  • Strong experience with DAX, and MDX
  • Experience with Enterprise Master Data Management and Data Governance, specifically projects involving Microsoft Master Data Services, Profisee Master Data Maestro, and SAP PCM are desirable
  • Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning systems (JDE, SAP, etc.) beneficial but not required.
  • Knowledge of warehouse management, logistics, engineering, sales data and salesforce.com is desirable
  • Experience with source control tools such as TFS or Git and agile delivery is desirable
  • Familiarity with Data as a Service concepts
  • Strong math and analytical skills are essential to complete job requirements successfully
  • Able to retrieve, compile and organize statistical information and present findings to management
