What you'll do
As a Forward Deployment Engineer, you will be at the forefront of our customer success, working closely with clients to implement customized solutions and maximize the value they get from our platform. Much like a startup CTO, you will own the end-to-end execution of high-impact projects, combining your technical skills and problem-solving abilities to address complex industrial challenges. Whether it’s designing a data-driven strategy to prevent downtime or developing a bespoke solution to streamline operations, your work will have a direct and significant impact on our clients’ efficiency and productivity.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate directly with clients to understand their most critical challenges and determine how meet their unique needs.
  • Design and implement end-to-end solutions, working from requirements gathering through to deployment and post-implementation support.
  • Engage with massive-scale data sets to extract insights, define KPIs, and develop customized analytics that drive business decisions.
  • Develop and code custom applications or scripts to enhance the capabilities for specific client use cases.
  • Act as the main technical point of contact for clients, providing strategic guidance on best practices, platform capabilities, and troubleshooting.
  • Work autonomously, making key technical decisions, and taking ownership of project deliverables to ensure timely and effective deployment.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product, Data Science, and Customer Success to improve solutions based on client feedback and industry demands.
  • Present technical insights and strategic recommendations to client executives and stakeholders, helping them make data-driven decisions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • +3 years of experience in software engineering, with a focus on data-driven solutions or software implementation.
  • Strong programming skills in Python, JavaScript, or other relevant languages, with the ability to quickly learn new technologies as needed.
  • Hands-on experience with data analysis, SQL, and working with large datasets.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to translate technical details into business insights for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proven problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and adapt solutions in real-time.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently, with a track record of successfully leading projects end-to-end.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally to client sites as needed.
