We are seeking a qualified and motivated postdoctoral fellow with background in population genetics for national and international research projects of the Human Genomics Unit at FIMM led by Professors Samuli Ripatti and Aarno Palotie.

Role description:
As member of an international, multidisciplinary team of experts in genomics, IT, Clinical Medicine, and Social Sciences within the TeamPerMed consortium, the postdoctoral fellow will develop and apply novel tools for genetic and clinical risk prediction, utilizing the biobank-scale data resources within TeamPerMed. The overarching goal of the project is to empower University of Tartu together with Tartu University Hospital in collaboration with FIMM and Dept of computer science at University of Helsinki, and Erasmus University in Rotterdam, Netherlands, to form the independent Center for Personalized Medicine. As member of the TeamPermed consortium, the candidate is expected to develop her/his own project with new research questions and using tools that will later support the launch of an ambitious independent career.
