Position Purpose:

The Sr. Data Analyst is an individual contributor role linking information technology and analytical capabilities with business objectives. This role works to provide exceptional customer service by ensuring that resources are maximized across the organization in order to meet and exceed customer expectations regarding service delivery times. This position will be a key contact for supervisors/leads regarding real-time service delivery performance and KPI reporting.

Competencies/Duties:

This role requires facilitation and communication with cross-functional teams across business units and clientele to gain a deep understanding of their data systems, data, and business processes. The primary objective of this role is to support the acquisition, organization, analysis, and delivery of data in support of business objectives for our organization and business partners. The Sr. Data Analyst will play an integral role in the life cycle of client and organizational data – including data capture, transformation, modeling, analysis, visualization, reporting, and interpretation. The Sr. Data Analyst will help our organization and clients solve complex business problems using data from internal and external sources by providing insight to decision-makers. The Sr. Data Analyst will interpret trends and patterns in datasets, construct forecasts, and provide recommendations for strategic and tactical plans based on business data and market knowledge.

Requirements

Position Requirements/Abilities:

  • Partner with business units and clients to understand their complex data and business problems, gather requirements, and generate proposed solutions to meet their needs.
  • Execute data queries across multiple data sources in support of analytical and reporting requirements.
  • Assist in database, data warehouse, and data lake design and implementation for analytical solutions, ensuring data integrity and quality throughout the process.
  • Apply statistical techniques and advanced analytics on client and business unit data.
  • Collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Interpret trends and construct forecasts using complex data sets.
  • Design and develop dashboards and data visualizations and deliver accurate, timely and user-friendly reports that provide business insight and predict future outcomes.
  • Present results to clients and the organization in a way that can be easily understood.

Education, Work Experience, Licensure:

  • Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, or a related field
  • 5+ years of data and analytics experience
  • 5+ years of experience with business intelligence tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.)
  • Experience with statistical analysis
  • Experience with coding languages (SQL, SAS, Python, R, etc.)
  • Experience with AWS, Azure, SharePoint, Google Cloud, Snowflake, etc.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills
  • Experience with database development and modeling
  • Experience managing multiple and complex projects
  • Critical thinker with the ability to proactively identify and solve problems
  • Team player with excellent verbal and written communication with the ability to translate technical data into easily understandable concepts
  • Ability to establish positive relationships and work effectively with all clients and departments to ensure the integration of strategic goals and objectives

This position may have supervisory responsibilities depending on employer need and department structure.
