Who you are 

The Senior Data Engineer will be responsible for making client data usable and accessible for AI applications. This includes designing, developing, and optimizing data pipelines, ensuring data quality, and collaborating with AI architects to meet the requirements for various AI models and solutions.

  

Key Responsibilities:

· Data Pipeline Development: Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL processes to ingest, clean, and transform data from multiple sources, including relational databases, APIs, and data lakes.

· Data Quality and Integrity: Implement best practices for data validation and ensure high data quality and consistency across all systems.

· Collaboration: Work closely with AI architects and data scientists to understand data needs and align data architecture and pipelines accordingly.

· Performance Optimization: Optimize and tune data processing systems for maximum performance and efficiency.

· Cloud Data Management: Manage and scale data infrastructure on cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) to support AI model development.

· Documentation: Document data engineering processes, data schema, and data flow diagrams to ensure transparency and maintainability.

· Security and Compliance: Implement and maintain data security measures to comply with industry standards and regulations.

Qualifications:

· Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field.

· Experience: 5+ years of experience in data engineering, database management, or a related role.

· Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

· Effective communication and ability to collaborate across teams.

· Detail-oriented and committed to delivering high-quality results.

· Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in data engineering languages such as Python, SQL, and R.
  • Experience with ETL tools and frameworks (e.g., Apache Airflow, Informatica, Qlik).
  • Knowledge of database technologies (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, Postgres, Oracle).
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure) and their data services.
  • Familiarity with data warehouse design, data modeling, and data mining techniques.


Preferred Qualifications:

· Familiarity with real-time data processing and stream analytics.

· Experience in supporting AI and machine learning initiatives.

· Knowledge of data governance and compliance standards.

This is a full-time position located in the United States and performed remotely with some travel.

  • Our recruiters carefully consider each application. If you are selected to move forward, we will contact you for the introductory screening 
  • 20-minute recruiter screening to introduce you to NexusTek, discuss your qualifications, and answer questions 

 

Interview Stage – We’ll dive into your experience more in depth 

  • 1- hour virtual interview with Hiring Manager 
  • 1- hour virtual interview with team member
  • References: 3 professional references with at least one being someone who directly managed you 
  • You are welcome to request additional conversations with team members you didn’t get to meet during the process
