The Economics and Business Analytics Department in the College of Business at the University of New Haven invites applications for a non-tenure-track position at the Instructor level beginning in August of 2022. This position includes teaching, service, and research expectations along with a responsibility to take an active role in cooperatively developing and growing applied business analytics opportunities across the programs in the College of Business.

We are seeking candidates with qualifications and teaching & research interests in Applied Business Analytics fields such as, Business Forecasting, Data Mining, Econometrics, Supervised & Unsupervised Machine Learning. Candidates must have completed a master’s in Data Science, Decision Science, Business Analytics, or a related field.  Strong applicants should be versatile, with an ability to teach a variety of courses in the analytics field. The ideal candidate will demonstrate proficiency in R Programming Language, Python, Power BI, Tableau, SQL, (among other things) and expertise in data analytics, optimization, business modeling, data visualization, natural language processing, and data mining.

Qualifications

The successful candidate for this position will be charged with working with faculty across the business disciplines to cooperatively develop curriculum, and co-curricular activities, to support a growing interest in applied business analytics and will have willingness/ability to teach a variety of undergraduate and graduate business analytics courses. Strong applicants must demonstrate a continuing commitment to excellence in teaching, advising, and service.

Candidates should have strong communication skills, a demonstrated commitment to teaching excellence, a student orientation, and an interest in applied research. All faculty members are expected to engage in student-focused activities such as advising and career mentoring.  As an AACSB accredited institution, faculty members are expected to maintain an active record of relevant scholarship.
