Mission and responsabilities:
We are looking for a profile that is currently part of a retail credit department and specializes in credit cards, both in admissions and portfolio management. In Openbank's credit risk team you will work with many areas in different tasks across functions, products, and regions to develop the portfolio, monitor portfolio performance and ensure that the business is on target for profitability and performance. Members of the Risk team are involved firsthand in new business initiatives, improvements to the current business, or adapting the business to regulatory and legal changes.
We are looking for a Risk professional who specializes in managing retail credit card portfolios and has a 360-degree view of the product. An expert in defining the admission processes and then being able to make data-driven decisions combining business needs and seeking a balance of risk-adjusted profitability, balancing knowledge of portfolio management, modelling, business with a quantitative and programming base. Someone who will lead the initiative for preventative and reactive actions towards any factors impacting credit performance and portfolio profitability.
The main tasks of this position will be the following:
- Manage the performance of the credit card portfolio.
- Define short- and long-term underwriting and enhancement policies based on portfolio and business requirements.
- Work with Risk Modeling team to design, develop and implement credit risk models both for admission, fraud prevention and for active limits management.
- Manage risk appetite based on business cases.
- Maintain key policies, procedures, and controls.
- Collaboration with key stakeholders in project development
- Efficient intake processes and portfolio performance by controlling risk assumption.
- Detect new risks that require immediate action and implement action plans.
- Identify early corrective actions on deteriorating receivables, in collaboration with the recovery management team.
What are we looking for in this position?
- +3 years of experience in retail credit management and at least 2 years managing credit card portfolios with a broad knowledge of the E2E customer cycle and balance-sheet build up to support the business card’s growth.
- A bachelor's degree in a quantitative/analytical field, such as engineering, statistics, math, economics, or management
- Knowledge on IFRS9 credit provisions
- Analytical skills on main profitability and risk KPIs, and modelling data (cost of credit, VMG, NPL, PD/LGD)
- Experience in the European credit market
- Understanding of credit scoring and behavioral scoring models, especially for credit card portfolios
- Experience with visualization tools (Quicksight, PoweBI..), and programming (SQL, Python, Apache Spark..)
- Good command of English language and willing to work in an international environment.
