    TITLE: Senior MLOps Engineer 

    MLOps (Machine Learning Operations) is a specialized role that focuses on the development, deployment, monitoring and continuous improvement of AI/ML applications and services. An MLOps Engineer plays a critical role in ensuring that our AI platforms are highly available, integrated correctly into business processes and deliver continuous value. 

     

    WHAT YOU’LL DO 

    • You will be a contributing member of the MLOps team, as well as be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the infrastructure and automation processes which form the foundations of Duck Creek’s AI and Machine Learning platforms. 

    • You will be an evangelist of DevOps principles and enable our application development teams to deliver new features to our clients in a robust, secure, and streamlined manner. You will enable teams to “shift left” and ensure Duck Creek stays ahead of its competitors by providing a bleeding-edge platform upon which it delivers its products and services. 

    • You will take ownership of our infrastructure-as-code configurations, CICD pipelines, Kubernetes manifests, automation scripts, and be responsible for ensuring that our cloud platforms are secure, resilient, and scalable. 

    • You will support defining Service Level Indicators (SLIs) and Service Level Objectives (SLOs) for platform components and the application of monitoring technologies to ensure we meet them. 

    • Our current platform stack includes: Cloud infrastructure hosted in Microsoft Azure, Infrastructure-as-code via Terraform and PowerShell/Bash scripts, CICD pipelines using GitHub and Azure DevOps, Applications hosted in Kubernetes (AKS), and observability provided by Grafana Cloud. 

    • Communicate and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams across different time zones and regions. Encourage a culture of collaboration, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement within the team. 

     

    WHAT YOU’VE DONE 

    • 7+ years experience in software development. 

    • 3+ years of commercial experience in an DevOps, SRE (or similar) role. 

    • Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience. 

    • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft’s Azure cloud technologies and hands-on experience in maintaining enterprise-grade platforms as part of a team. 

    • Demonstrable experience in deploying, patching, and maintaining Kubernetes clusters and associated toolsets. 

    • Experience in authoring and maintaining infrastructure-as-code configurations in Terraform. 

    • Experience in building CICD pipelines in a relevant framework with Azure DevOps. 

    • Experienced in authoring automation scripts using PowerShell and Bash. 

    • Comfortable using the command line and CLIs. 

    • Experience of identity management in Azure Active Directory and implementing Role-Based Access Controls (RBAC). 

    • Experience of authoring and maintaining Helm charts. 

    • Familiarity with GitOps principles. Hands-on experience of Argo Workflows is desirable. 

    • Ability to independently gather technical requirements and formulate a plan to deliver them. 

    • Confidence in analyzing and questioning the assumptions and justifications behind technical specifications/implementations, with an open mind to considering alternative approaches which may be a better fit. 

    • Willingness to share out-of-hours on-call responsibilities with the team. 

    • Be an evangelist of DevOps principles who strives to enable teams to perform to the best of their ability.

    • Work Authorization: Legally authorized to work in the country of the job location.  

    • Location: You will be allowed to work remotely in India.
