What You Can Expect

We are seeking a talent and motivated student to join our team as a Data Science Intern focused on connectivity hardware test data analysis and modeling. This role will contribute to the development of generative AI solutions for hardware device interoperability tuning. You will work closely with experienced data scientists and system engineers to enhance our hardware testing and interoperability processes using advanced data science and AI techniques. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Analyze and model DSP or other connectivity hardware test data to identify patterns, anomalies, and insights for device tuning. 
  • Develop and apply machine learning and generative AI models to optimize device interoperability, contributing to efficient hardware deployment. 
  • Collaborate with team members to automate data processing and integrate models into our testing workflows. 
  • Assist in creating documentation and visualizations for data analysis and model insights, leveraging tools like Python and related libraries. 
  • Stay updated with the latest in generative AI and hardware data analysis, proposing innovative approaches to improve device tuning and interop performance. 

What We're Looking For

Qualifications: 

  • Must be currently enrolled in a master's program in Data Science, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or other related fields with an anticipated graduation date between Winter 2025 and Spring 2026 
  • Proficiency in Python and experience with data analysis libraries (e.g., pandas, NumPy). 
  • Familiarity with machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch) and interest in generative AI. 
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and ability to work independently on complex problems. 
  • Knowledge of DSP, other connectivity hardware or switching testing environments is a plus. 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, matplotlib) for presenting analysis and model results. 
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and data pipeline tools (e.g., Snowflake, Airflow) is a plus. 
  • Understanding of interoperability testing and device tuning is advantageous but not required. 

Expected Base Pay Range (USD)

30 - 61, $ per hour.

The successful candidate’s starting base pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location and market conditions. The expected base pay range for this role may be modified based on market conditions.

This role is eligible for our hybrid work model in which you will be able to split time between working from home and on-site in a Marvell office.
