The Position

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Finance Data Product Owner to support our enterprise data product team in Finance. This role will oversee the operations of core enterprise data products in our finance data analytics domain. These products serve as key enablers for decision making in the areas of global workforce, financial costs, personnel cost, sales, research and development financials, and CAPEX. The Data Product Owner will be responsible for driving operations, managing stakeholders, ensuring effective communication with end customers, and coordinating across various teams to enhance the digital system landscape.
You need to be well versed in exploration of data and analytics, and blending this with our core data technologies in our SAP transactional and business warehouse applications and Data Mesh platforms.
You will be collaborating across Finance and beyond to ensure we architect and execute in building a sustainable data foundation for the Finance organization and our business stakeholders.
This role is for a Digital for Finance team member with extensive experience and subject matter expertise in Analytics in Finance in the Pharmaceutical or similar industry, with a comprehensive understanding of key financial processes and systems, organizational needs, and with a value focused approach.
The Opportunity
Managing the day-to-day operations of data products, ensuring seamless functionality and continuous improvement
Maintaining data accuracy and compliance with organizational standards
Define and be accountable for key performance indicators (KPIs) for finance data products to measure their effectiveness and impact
Applying knowledge to the strategic application within the finance organization and providing insights to enhance decision-making for the organization
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Informatics, Finance colleagues, and Business stakeholders to define product requirements to enhance the solutions
Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, ensuring a prioritized and impactful requirements process is followed and implemented
Develop a thorough understanding of the digital system landscape, including its components, integrations, and dependencies
Lead the coordination of technical updates and maintenance activities, ensuring minimal disruption to end users
Who you are:
Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Finance or related field or equivalent professional experience
Minimum 5-7 years of experience working with financial systems, workforce data, and related processes
Proven experience in financial reporting and analysis, including cost management, budgeting, planning, and forecasting
Strong expertise in managing data products, with an emphasis on operations and data reconciliation
Knowledge of complex digital systems and an ability to coordinate across multiple teams
Proven experience in stakeholder management, with exceptional communication and customer interaction skills
