About Us:
At Citi Innovation Labs, we’re building a variety of generative AI applications through greenfield development projects. The Citi Innovation Labs is a leader in creating new ideas, innovative technology solutions, and ground-breaking innovations for Citi's global banking business. We're part of a global network of innovation centres, and our mission is to create competitive advantage for our partners by providing innovative technological solutions. We work closely with our partners taking projects from ideation to production by leveraging the entrepreneurial spirit and technological excellence fostered in the Innovation Labs.

What You Will Do:

• Write Excellent Code: We care deeply about the craft of code—whether it’s enhancing user experience, optimizing performance, or enhancing an API design.
• Design and Build Applications: Develop high-quality, scalable, and resilient backend applications.
• Collaborate Globally: Work closely with global teammates to form a high-performing software development team.
• Cross-Functional Teamwork: Join a cross-functional team focused on one or two applications within the broader Generative AI engineering team.
• Engage with Stakeholders: Collaborate with data scientists, product owners, and project stakeholders to ensure effective delivery.
   

What We Are Looking For:

• Software Development Experience: Proven experience in building scalable and resilient web applications. Thorough understanding of web technologies and when to apply them.
• Expertise with LLMs: Hands-on experience with Large Language Models and a strong interest in AI.
• Strong Python Skills: Proficiency in Python development.
• Multi-Language Fluency: Extensive experience with server-side languages such as Python, Kotlin, Java, or Go. Fluent in at least two programming languages.
• System Architecture Skills: Strong understanding of system architecture and design. • Inquisitive Mindset: Eager to learn, experiment, and stay updated with emerging technologies.
   

Desirable Experience:

• Kubernetes: Experience in building cloud native applications using Kubernetes and Helm
• Database Technologies: experience building applications with relational databases, document database and key value stores.
• Frontend: experience of modern frontend development (e.g. React/Typescript)
   

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience.
