AECOM seeking a results-driven Data Analyst who thrives in both team environments and independently to join our Enterprise Capabilities Team. The ideal candidate will leverage their expertise to drive actionable insights and optimize business processes, ensuring measurable impact and continuous improvement.  This position offers a Hybrid work schedule offering both office and remote work opportunities based out of our office in Bangalore, India.

Key Responsibilities

This role will work with various Functional Leads in different regions to analyze, develop and put in place Information Management systems for a high-volume, high-paced operations without disrupting the normal day-to-day workflow. Identify opportunities for digitizing and automating various business processes. The Applications to be developed on MS Access, SQL, Advanced Excel, SharePoint, Power Platform, and similar platforms.

• Interpreting data, analyzing results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports
• Developing and implementing data analyses, data collection systems and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality
• Using data mining to extract information from data sets and identify correlations and patterns
• Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets
• Organizing and transforming data into insight
• Using data to find trends and build predictive analytic models in our dataset
• Using tools and techniques to visualize data to inform decisions for different stakeholders
• Preparing reports and presenting these to management or clients
• Identifying and recommending new ways to automate and innovate by streamlining business processes
• Build and monitoring data quality processes
• Build paginated reports in Power Bi Report Builder or SSRS
• Communicating with stakeholders to understand data content and business requirements

Skills Required

• Technical expertise on data models, data cleaning, structuring, data mining and segmentation techniques
• Adept at queries, report writing and presenting findings
• Experience and coding knowledge of R or Python
• Good understanding of database design, SQL and NoSQL databases
• Experience in structuring Power BI data models, building reports and dashboard
• Working knowledge of Power BI, Tableau, or similar visualization tool
• Ability to learn new software and technologies quickly
• Ability to follow instructions and work in a team environment
• Experience creating new Calculated Tables, Calculated Columns, and Measures using DAX

About Digital @AECOM

As a member of the enterprise capabilities’ digital team, you will work closely with other members of the AECOM global digital team and assist with the deployment of engineering platforms, applications for civil and infrastructure and other digital solutions for design projects around the world. The global digital team will work closely with other digital professionals around the world to advance AECOM’s global digital strategies and priorities.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science or related field or equivalent.

• 5-7 years of career experience related to Application Development, Database support and Management.

• Strong knowledge of Excel, VBA and Microsoft SharePoint platform. Proficient in Power Platform Apps such as PowerBI, PowerApps, PowerQuery, Power Automate will be a plus.

• Strong learning ability to upgrade into cloud, digital and AI technology.

• Detail-oriented with exceptional analytical and organizational skills.

• Strong oral and written communication skills.

• Ability to develop, document, and maintain procedures & DTPs Adaptability.

• Ability to maintain good customer relationship with the ability to initiate ways to improve customer support customer experience (Customer Service).

• Ability to be thorough and meticulous in completing assigned tasks and with the ability to propose ways to prevent or eliminate errors, discrepancies & issues. (Attention to Detail).

• Ability to identify and resolve moderate and complex issues by applying best practices and technical expertise and may recommend solutions for unique scenarios. (Problem Solving)
