Purpose of Position

This is a part-time, non-benefited position. Only UND Aerospace students are eligible to be hired in this position.

The applicant will assist the Aviation Department at the John D. Odegard School of Aerospace Sciences.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Support the team in software development in Aviation related research
  • Literature review and documentation efforts
  • Developing ML models for testing different use cases related to acoustic C-UAS
  • Support the team in programming, deploying, and testing embedded modules to detect UAVs

Minimum Requirements

  • Programming skills (Python and/or C++)
    • Skill Level - Moderate and above
  • Knowledge of data analysis tools, Data Visualization tools, and Basics of Machine Learning(ML)
  • Background in Aviation and/or UAS operations
  • Enrolled in a minimum of 1 credit for the employed academic semester
  • Successful completion of a Criminal History Background Check
