As a Product Security Software Engineer at Notable, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the security and integrity of our platform. You will collaborate closely with product engineering teams to build robust software solutions that safeguard our platform.  Additionally, you will develop tools to detect and respond to potential threats, automate breakglass access, and conduct threat modeling exercises to mitigate risks. Your contributions will directly impact the overall security posture of Notable's products and services.

You will...

  • Collaborate with product engineering teams to integrate security best practices into the development lifecycle.

  • Perform threat modeling exercises using techniques like STRIDE to identify potential security risks in new features.

  • Develop software tools to connect backend and frontend identity and access management systems.

  • Implement breakglass admin access mechanisms to ensure emergency access without compromising security.

  • Design and deploy tools to scan logs for threats and generate alerts for potential security incidents.

  • Build solutions to synchronize logs between SaaS solutions and our central logging infrastructure.

  • Leverage machine learning and artificial intelligence tools to automate threat detection processes.

  • Conduct code reviews and provide guidance to ensure adherence to security standards and best practices.

  • Identify opportunities for security improvements within existing products and services.

  • 4+ years of experience building security applications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

  • Proficiency in programming languages such as typescript and python.

  • Strong understanding of modern web application development principles.

  • Experience with threat modeling techniques like STRIDE is a plus.

  • Ability to analyze complex problems and devise effective solutions.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
