Business Analyst - Team Lead - MERCHANT OPERATIONS

Our Merchant Onboarding Operations team ensures seamless and efficient onboarding of merchants, managing risk and chargebacks while ensuring compliance with Anti-Money Laundering (AML) regulations. We’re looking for an Amazing  Business Analyst with a getting-things-done attitude to connect the dots, work cross-functionally, and drive actionable insights that improve operations.
Key Responsibilities:•Getting Things Done: You’ll face familiar and new challenges where you may need to collaborate with multiple teams to understand data tables, metrics, and processes. You must have the ability to take ownership and quickly figure out solutions.•Metrics and Insights: Define, track, and analyze key metrics to monitor the health of Merchant Onboarding, Risk, Chargeback, and AML operations.•Data Visualization: Create and maintain both pretty and  insightful dashboards using Google Looker to provide actionable insights to stakeholders.•Statistical Analysis: Leverage your understanding of statistics, probability, and linear algebra to drive data-backed decision-making and solve complex operational challenges.•Process Optimization: Continuously analyze processes and suggest improvements to enhance operational efficiency, reduce escalations, and streamline risk assessment.•Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with different teams such as Risk Ops, AML, Merchant Onboarding, and Tech teams to support data-driven projects and initiatives.•Prioritizing Product developments: At a given point in time there will be several competing priorities to do, you will help us to understand the impact and help us prioritize the developments. •Everyday Unknowns: Each day will bring new challenges beyond data analysis. You might find yourself leading a team, troubleshooting problems, securing approvals, or handling less glamorous tasks. Flexibility is key—you should be ready to roll up your sleeves and tackle whatever comes your way.
Skills & Qualifications:•Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Engineering from Tier 1-2 institutions (IITs, NITs, VIT, or similar).
•Technical Skills:o Proficient in SQL, Python, and Excel for data analysis, or the ability to quickly learn these tools.o Familiarity with Google Looker or other BI tools for dashboard creation.o Strong foundation in statistics, probability, and linear algebra to solve complex problems.•Experience:o Prior experience ( 6 months - 2 years) in analytics, or a similar field is a plus.o A demonstrated ability to analyze large data sets and communicate insights effectively.•Mindset:o A startup mentality with a focus on execution and ownership.o Ability to thrive in ambiguity and figure out solutions as situations arise.o Challenging the status quo, working as a teammate and curiosity to learn everyday.
