Description

GXM is seeking to hire an experienced and talented Data Scientist with a passion for research and analyzing complex datasets, to provide actionable insights. A candidate should have the ability to collect, analyze, and interpert large datasets to generate predictive models and statistical analyses. The Data Scientist will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business stakeholders and technical teams, to translate data into valuable insights. This role requires a deep understanding of collecting preprocessed structured and unstructured data from sources such as, SQL/NoSQL databases, APIs, and external datasets. 


Duties include but are not limited to

·  Analyze large datasets to identify key trends, patterns, and correlations that inform business strategies.

·  Conduct exploratory data analysis (EDA) to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in the data.

·  Build and validate predictive models using statistical techniques (e.g., regression analysis, time series forecasting).

·  Use statistical software (e.g., R, SAS, SPSS) and programming languages (e.g., Python, SQL) to conduct data analysis.

·  Create data visualizations (e.g., using Tableau, Power BI, or matplotlib) to communicate findings and insights to stakeholders.

·  Collaborate with business teams to understand their objectives and use data to guide decision-making.

·  Develop tools and algorithms to automate repetitive data tasks, improving workflow efficiency.

·  Ensure that data handling complies with relevant data protection laws, privacy policies, and ethical guidelines.

·  Maintain documentation of data sources, models, and methodologies for auditability and reproducibility.

·  Work closely with other engineering teams to integrate data-driven solutions into various business functions.

Requirements
  • MUST BE A US CITIZEN
  • Top Secret SCI CI Poly
  • Must be able to work on-site (FT Meade) 5 days a week
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 5+ years of experience in an IT related field or similar role
  • Strong experience with statistical software (e.g., R, SAS, SPSS) and programming languages (e.g., Python, SQL)
  • Excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail
  • Proficiency with MS Office suite
  • Proficiency in Jira, Confluence, or similar issue tracking systems
