Role profile:

Forming a team that drives a culture of governance will require an individual with a passion for detail, ability to think logically about achieving concise and practical results whilst constantly leading change triggered by external influences. This team sits at the heart of our LSEG D&A Operational organisation where the core customer product building blocks are generated and will influence collectively how the entire LSEG D&A Ops group functions curate, process and generate data. Any leader must cast an inspiring shadow of support and encouragement to achieve results

As team principle you will ensure the team demonstrates a commitment to continuously reviewing and understanding the evolution of Financial markets, their data and attributes which are affected by any associated impact of regulation. As a leader you will be responsible for verifying that risk related choices reflect pragmatic and realistic decisions which can be acted upon appropriately across FCO.

ROLE SUMMARY:

  • Drive the strategy which evolves Financial Content Operations maturity towards Governance policy adoption in preparation for DORA and future regulatory adoption whilst meeting wider LSEG policy obligations.
  • Engaging with the wider community to form relationships that allows the team to construct a portfolio of business or organisational expectations which can be translated into tangible specifications for action across FCO and relevant partners.
  • Organise around aligning to common standards and themes of data design and structures making sure that standard processes are in place to present information about FCO real-estate (data, databases, data flows, sources, and processes) to any interested audit groups.
  • Champion the team through use of domain specific expertise to ensure that all mechanisms exist to assess and report on compliance with the set of governance principles.

WORKSTYLE MODEL 

We know balance is the key, therefore we propose hybrid way of working. You are welcome to work from our brand-new office every day, but you have still an opportunity to stay at home if needed. In this position you can work 2 days a week from home.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

  • Working with Data Trust, GORP to implement LSEG Group Operating Policies.
  • Constructing the design framework for Governance adoption across Financial Content Operations organisation at the heart of providing content to D&A Products.
  • Review, audit and improve the insight generated from all inventories gathered to describe our real-estate.
  • Continuously improve the scale and accuracy of our insight.
  • Report on status of FCO along the Governance maturity curve.
  • Find opportunities to simplify the overall support effort of FCO data governance function.
  • Drive adoption of all governance activities into relevant FCO teams and working with key groups associated to Governance.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING:

  • Experience in developing expert knowledge to build SMEs for application of policies on Financial Content Operations
  • Strong grasp of Group Governance policies as they apply to FCO
  • Significant previous experience in presenting information to senior managers and knowledge of business case planning process
  • Knowledge of external regulations that affect the FCO organisation
  • Proven skills for influencing others and building strong partnerships with key personnel at all levels of the group
  • Knowledge of process mapping and data structures
