They are seeking a Data Analyst to drive insights through the analysis of quantitative and qualitative data, contributing to the effectiveness of our programs. This role involves creating insightful visualizations, designing data collection strategies, and ensuring data accuracy. The analyst will collaborate closely with program teams and external stakeholders, supporting monitoring and evaluation efforts to inform strategic decisions.
Key Responsibilities
Data Analysis:
- Analyze quantitative and qualitative data to uncover trends, patterns, and insights related to program performance.
- Use statistical tools and software to perform in-depth analysis and generate actionable reports.
Reporting & Visualization:
- Create clear, engaging data visualizations to communicate findings effectively.
- Prepare reports and presentations summarizing insights and key recommendations for stakeholders.
Data Collection & Management:
- Design and implement data collection strategies, including surveys, interviews, and other sources.
- Maintain data integrity, accuracy, and confidentiality throughout the data lifecycle.
Collaboration:
- Partner with program teams to understand their data needs and provide tailored analytical support.
- Collaborate with external stakeholders, partners, and researchers to align on data-driven strategies.
Monitoring & Evaluation:
- Assist in developing monitoring and evaluation frameworks, including setting KPIs.
- Support ongoing assessments to measure program impact and refine strategies.
Continuous Improvement:
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in data analysis and impact measurement.
- Provide insights and recommendations to enhance data collection, management, and analysis processes.
Desired Qualifications
- Education: Bachelors degree in Data Science, Statistics, Social Sciences, or a related field. A masters degree is a plus.
- Experience:
- 2+ years of experience in data analysis, preferably in the nonprofit or impact sector.
- Familiarity with monitoring and evaluation frameworks is an advantage.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Excel for data manipulation and analysis.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) and statistical software is a plus.
Analytical & Communication Skills:
- Strong problem-solving abilities with keen attention to detail.
- Ability to translate complex data into actionable insights for diverse audiences.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Collaboration & Teamwork:
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in team settings and engage with multiple stakeholders.
