Working in the Technical Services Department of SP Energy Networks Transmission (SPT) you’ll provide support to the Pipeline Planning Manager to ensure visibility of new projects in the £10bn RIIO-T3 investment programme.
This will include the creation of the funnel for all T3 projects within the Programme, collating and creating the planning requirements for Customer and Network projects and ensuring these are captured by the Programme Planning team. This will require the development of a strong interface with peers across key departments within SPT and other directorates within SP Energy Networks (SPEN).
What you’ll be doing
- Develop & maintain a medium/long term project forecast with regular review, analysis and reporting.
- Analyse data within reports to highlight and summarise key issues and areas of risk.
- Implement reporting practices using new tools, applications and processes, such as Power BI.
- Assist in developing a governance process to ensure accuracy and representation on all projects and deliverables.
- Identify potential sources of efficiencies by managing the requirement of the projects by scopes, locations, dates and required delivery resources considering the full pipeline of projects ensuring compliance with the SPT Projects Integrated Management system.
- Take ownership and lead when appropriate in overall objectives to improve customer service and efficiency.
- Responsible for proactively contributing to the strategic direction for the pipeline planning activities, including identification of value adding applications to improve and streamline performance.
What you’ll bring
You’ll be used to working in multi-disciplined teams at a professional level. With experience in processing large amounts of complex data, you'll be an effective communicator both comfortable presenting and reporting to various management levels in an informed manner.
You’ll bring the ability to devise solutions to complex problems and challenges and have a working knowledge of reporting tools including SQL, Power BI, dashboard reports, MS Access queries and be computer literate on the Microsoft Office suite.
