Summary


Anaconda is seeking a talented Engineering Manager for our Open Source Software (OSS) group.  We help maintain a wide range of important Python projects with millions of users, including Jupyter, fsspec, BeeWare, PyScript, and several others.  This is a great opportunity to work with an outstanding team and have a positive impact on the PyData ecosystem.



What You'll Do

  • Manage small teams of OSS developers
  • Communicate project plans and progress to other teams within Anaconda
  • Maintain relationships with external project stakeholders in academia and industry
  • Oversee sponsored open source development contracts
  • Engage with the Python and PyData open source community
  • Help define Anaconda’s OSS strategy

What You Need:

  • 6+ years of experience in an Engineering role
  • 3+ years of experience with OSS development
  • 2+ years of experience in Engineering Management or other forms of team leadership
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Proficiency with Python and PyData packages, like NumPy and Pandas
  • A high degree of empathy for the needs of OSS users and contributors
