ING Bank is rolling out one standard implementation for Interest Rate Risk and Forecasting in the banking books. Regulations and internal risk management insights require us to enhance our ALM capabilities to be implemented consistently throughout ING Bank.

We (the ALM analysis and reporting team) value helping each other, sharing our knowledge in the team, working together on delivering on our promises and reflecting on how we can improve in our work but also personal developments and growth. We are a young, internationally focused team (both in scope of our work and our team composition) and focus on developing new functionality and methodologies for reporting in our ALM platform.

When joining the team you will work on the implementation and roll-out of one central ALM Results area (ARA) as well as supporting the team with monthly ALM data deliveries and reconciliations for reporting purposes. In the ALM accelerated program we will increase the speed of this roll out by identifying reporting gaps between our solution and what is required for locations and implementing them in our application.

You will play a central role within ING and your success will depend on your ability to maintain good relations with our end-users and stakeholders, i.e. Financial Risk teams (central ALM reporting team), ING locations and ING Finance teams.

We are looking for a committed and collaborative team player, who is experienced in

managing data, understands complex data and data structures and how these contribute to managing ALM risk. Also understanding complex ALM data requests from our supervisors (ECB, EBA) and able to translate these into structured and timely deliverables is key.

You should have a strong affinity with position (more specifically Finance and ALM Risk) data and be able to cooperate with internal and external stakeholders to find the structural best solution for ING.  Experience with Finance systems, especially in the area of ALM or Treasury related data, is appreciated.

Tasks to be performed

Development of functionality that structurally support the locations and ING Head Office in the timely and consistent delivery of complex analysis and reporting-data requests in an ALM results area (e.g. ALCO /stress test inputs)

  • Translate (external and internal) business data requests into understandable and actionable items and designs with the team.

  • Align and agree results with main stakeholders and management.

  • Develop new functionality and analysis capabilities in our target model in QRM to structurally support an efficient delivery of complex data requests.

  • Implementation and roll-out of new data solutions to end-users and locations

Personal profile

We look for someone with the following skills/profile

  • Collaborates well in a team environment.

  • Minimum 4 years of experience working in business analysis, data analytics or data science of which minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in the banking sector (preferably ALM side).

  • Proficient oral and written communication skills in English.

  • Capable of acting as connector between Risk, Finance and IT.

  • Getting things done.

  • You can switch in roles to ensure a mix of content, seniority and organizational sensitivity.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication skills.

  • Hands-on experience working with SQL, Power BI, or similar tool is a plus.
