As a Lead Operations for the HO business/product lines and support functions, you will be part of the WB Chief Data Organisation and will be key in delivering our data promise to become the ‘Best European Wholesale Bank in 2026’.


Job description

With an increased appetite for data insights on the one hand, and regulatory pressure to demonstrate due care on many aspects of data management on the other, the WB Chief Data Organisation is responsible for operationalizing the data strategy and steering the data agenda in the WB network. As a Regional Lead for one of the Regional Teams, you will take on a wide range of responsibilities, identifying and developing data priorities for the business lines and WB entities, becoming and remaining Safe & Compliant from a data management point of view while operationalizing and consolidating data management processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a regional data operations team and organisation as an ‘extension’ of the WB CDO.
  • Business Partner of the tribe leads, executive data stewards and their team. Act as representative of the tribes towards the WB CDO MT and the Global CDO organisation.
  • Closely collaborate with Global Data Management on the implementation of globally driven initiatives and with COO Data Operations to scale & improve their services towards the locations in the region.
  • Shape and contribute to the development of the WB Data strategy & roadmap for the business/product lines ensuring business and data priorities are identified and prioritized accordingly.
  • Execute on the WB Data Must-Win-Battles/ Value stream and enable Scalable Operations (consolidation of data management processes).
  • Implement Operational Management ensuring insights and performance are measured.
  • Maintain oversight of ‘safe & compliant activities’ for the relevant data standards, including service management, throughout the region and ensure active collaboration with the WB CDO Office.

Furthermore, you are/have:

  • Experience working in a complex international environment & good understanding of global complexity
  • Experience in the data field or determined to become an expert in data.
  • Customer focus and the ability to build trust with senior leadership 
    • You are organizationally sensitive, able to work with various stakeholders in a multiple jurisdictions setting.
    • Enthusiastic, willing to help others to be successful and always a step ahead

    • A strong network within the bank and a good understanding of the organisation, strategy and our way of working
    • Strong stakeholder management skills and able to feel comfortable to work on senior leadership level (MBB-1/MBB-2 level)
    • Can demonstrate success in establishing executive relationships and influencing executive decision-making
