Product Engineer Generative AI (m/f/d)

Schwarz IT is the key IT service provider to Kaufland, Lidl, and other Schwarz Group companies, Europe's largest retailer. Schwarz IT develops professional and effective IT solutions in close cooperation with the departments. We develop data products for the entire Schwarz Group in the area of artificial intelligence solutions. We use the latest AI technologies to develop and operate innovative solutions for a range of business fields, from Customer Experience through Category Management to Logistics. In doing so, we work with state-of-the-art big data and cloud technologies in DevOps. Become part of our team as a Software Engineer (Artificial Intelligence).

What You’ll Do

• You design and develop Generative AI applications that generate creative content, extract valuable insights from unstructured data and revolutionize our business processes
• You take analytical applications from proof-of-concept to production and ensure their quality and sustainability
• You use the toolbox of a software and DevOps engineer to transfer the requirements of GenAI products into productive applications
• You work in interdisciplinary agile teams with AI engineers, product owners and specialist departments
• You act as a coach and mentor for teammates with a flair for analyzing and solving technical problems

What you’ll need

• Degree in (business) informatics, a comparable degree or a comparable qualification with professional experience
• Enthusiasm for software development and the creation of varied data products
• Several years of experience in software development, e.g. with Python or C/C++ in the AI environment and productive implementation of software products
• Good knowledge of application architecture, the software development cycle (e.g. CI/CD, DevOps, GitOps, MLOps, testing, ideally LLMOps) and software design patterns
• Experience in the cloud, Docker/Kubernetes/Helm & containerization, infrastructure-as-code with Azure, GCP or comparable cloud providers
• Analytical skills, agile mindset, independence and hands-on mentality
• Very good knowledge of English, preferably good knowledge of German
