We, the BMW Group, offer you an interesting and varied internship in the area of AI based Multi-modal Perception and Learning, Neuromorphic Computing, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and Robotics in the context of Intelligent Human-Machine/Vehicle Interaction and Collaboration and well being.

 

What awaits you?

  • Contributing to the deveopment of next generation of the intelligent multi-modal interactive vehicle.
  • Developing and Implementing mulit-modal perception and learning algorithms for in vehicle interaction, well being, and AI Edge Computing.
  • Collaborating with an highly specialised international team of AI/ ML and robotics scientists and engineers.
  • Contribute to applied research and pre-development projects within BMW.
  • The work will be carried out at BMW AI Lab of RoboTac Team, Technology Group, BMW Group Center of Invention, Munich, Germany.  
     

What should you bring along? 

  • University degree in electrical/ control engineering, computer science, mathemarics, or a comparable course of study or a comparable qualification.
  • In-depth knowledge of machine leaning, information theory, computer vision, robotics, robot learning, autonomous system with very good analytical thinking and error analysis skills required.
  • Extensive practical experinece with different sensory devices ( Visual and Tactile Sensors, EMG, LIDAR, RADAR ,...), robotics systems (ROS), motion capturing systems.
  • Robust knowledge in scripting languages (e.g. Python, C++) would be required.
  • Experience in developing and integrating software platforms for embedded devices would be required.
  • Experience in Neuromorphic Computing filed is considered as plus.
