We're a technology company that brings simple investing to everyone. We’ve built a beautiful app to buy and sell shares and ETFs in a fluid, mobile-first experience. We’re building a team with diverse and unique perspectives in order to help us on our mission to demystify investing. 

Our goal is to help our customers achieve better, long-term financial outcomes.In 2024, we’ll be launching across the EU, following our successful launch in Sweden and our new office in Budapest.  We’ll also be transforming our product, developing new features and introducing new products. In the UK, we now have over 1.6m registered users, offering a range of products like the Freetrade Pension, a stocks and shares ISA, and our premium plan, Freetrade Plus. 

You will...

  • Build the pipelines that put Freetrade’s data to work, deploying jobs into our Kubernetes cluster, writing Python code to orchestrate them in Dagster, and modelling the data in our BigQuery data warehouse.
  • Evolve our testing, alerting and quality monitoring capabilities to continuously improve the trust of our data.
  • Deploy data infrastructure through Terraform+Atlantis and write CICD pipelines.
  • Improve the team’s operations, adding robustness and increasing efficiency.
  • Build relationships with the Product and Engineering teams that produce our data and implement best practices for the data that we consume.

You have...

  • Great knowledge of Python and SQL
  • Experience writing clean, high-quality, testable code
  • A strong background in data warehousing and building data pipelines
  • Built and deployed data pipelines and/or data-centric applications in the cloud, preferably Google Cloud
  • Imported data from a wide variety of data sources including relational and NoSQL databases, APIs, cloud storage, etc
  • Knowledge of data protection, data security, and privacy best practices

The application process consists of a phone interview with one of our internal Talent Specialists, you'll have interviews centred around your Technical abilities with the team Manager, as well a Technical interview. The final interview will be with our Co-Founder, to assess your alignment to our company Values and general fit.
