About the team
Risk control team is responsible for performing risk identification and assessing the design and operating effectiveness of internal controls across ByteDance global functions. The team's mission is to be a trusted advisor and add tangible value to the company through insightful and comprehensive risk management practices and proactive internal controls advisory support.

Responsibilities:
1. Take ownership of data-related risk management solutions, to design, develop, implement data analytics solutions for effective risk management programme execution, encompassing risk reviews and control assessments.
2. Support the execution of analytical risk assessment, implement continuous risk monitoring with data analytics tools.
3. Develop and maintain relationships with key business stakeholders to ensure respective key risks in the business are adequately addressed and to facilitate improvements in its control environment.
4. Explore emerging technologies and industry trends, as well as provide comprehensive data knowledge accumulation to the team.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree or above.
2. Good understanding of Internal Control/Risk Management functions.
3. Skilled in data manipulation with SQL or other programming languages/tools.
4. Experience in building dashboards and conducting quantitative analysis, visualisation, and reporting.
5. Experience being a trusted and valuable risk business partner to a variety of cross-functional stakeholders, demonstrating strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to drive action in the midst of ambiguous situations.

Preferred Qualifications:
1. Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Statistics, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related major.
2. Advantageous to have 3+ years working in data analytics and risk management, either in professional services or the broader tech industry is preferred.

【For Pay Transparency】Compensation Description (annually)

The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $80560 - $160000 annually.​

Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.​
