About the role:

The Head of Enterprise Risk Reporting, Data & Analytics is responsible for FNZ’s enterprise risk reporting, business intelligence, and analytics across the Global Risk & Compliance (GR&C) organization.

This role will partner with GR&C and business colleagues globally to ensure risk data is converted into actionable insights, fostering a data-driven culture, and enabling strategic decision-making.

As a key partner to the Group CRO and her senior leadership team, the Head of Enterprise Risk Reporting, Data & Analytics will ensure data accuracy, create streamlined reporting processes, and support GR&C data initiatives that drive FNZ business growth and operational efficiency.

This is a dual role which has been created to act as the gatekeeper for the GRC with oversight of users, reporting and data integrity while delivering training and support to the wider enterprise. A key aspect of the role will be to lead the effective design, development and delivery of recurring and ad hoc Group CRO reporting to executive management, Board and Risk Committees.

This includes providing insight, creating automated workflows, report production and management information for enterprise risk, ensuring it meets the needs of desired audience(s) and supports effective decision-making. Additionally, this role will maintain the Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) systems and will be the business SME in for the development and operation of these. GRC is a core component of FNZ’s Risk Framework and is integral in delivering the requirements of our enterprise-wide risk management policies. Responsibilities:

  • Standardize reporting mechanisms for key risk measures (KRMs) to provide a consistent view of risk and compliance across the organization
  • Utilize analytics tools for data-driven insights into risk trends and potential areas of concern e.g. modelling and stress testing
  • Co-ordinate cross-risk discipline management information from GR&C colleagues in a timely manner and provide editorial oversight to shape into clear, concise and insightful reporting
  • Own and evolve the design of risk report and dashboard templates to enable strategic decisioning from data insights, capturing the ‘so-what’
  • Accountable for the structure and processes for report production, using clear and accessible reporting tools and techniques
  • Act as a ‘gatekeeper’ on the quality and content of GR&C reports presented to executive management, Board and Risk Committees
  • Support client and risk data requests within the Group; this may also include external stakeholders such as regulators, investors etc
  • Ensure issues are escalated and reported in a timely manner and effectively to Business Units and Functions in collaboration with the local Chief Risk Officers (CROs)
  • Create and maintain a Global Risk & Compliance calendar of reporting activities
  • Lead the Data Quality workstream of Risk Management Framework 2.0 to overhaul, automate and enrich risk and compliance data
  • There will be a requirement for systems administration for the GRC system which is heavily used by all regions and relied upon as our single source of truth by the business, external clients and several regulators;
  • Oversee the management of all aspects of the operational risk systems, to ensure system requirements are understood, documented and tested to meet business needs, client needs and regulatory expectations
  • Initially assess change requests to determine appropriateness and compliance with risk management framework processes
  • Maintain meticulous control over user access, roles and permissions within the GRC
  • Troubleshoot to find solutions for technical challenges, in a cost effective and efficient manner · Increase operational reporting efficiency across GR&C based on defined success metrics.

Requirements:

  • Strong experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or reporting, with at least 3 years in a leadership role;
  • Proven experience developing and executing data strategies, preferably in a complex, data-driven organization;
  • Hands-on experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and analytics platforms (e.g., SQL, Python, R); · Strong proficiency in data analysis, statistical techniques, and data visualization best practices;
  • Familiarity with data warehousing, data governance, and data integration processes;
  • Knowledge of machine learning and predictive analytics is a plus;
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex data insights for non-technical audiences;
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to identify and interpret key business drivers through data;
  • Strong experience in preparing and presenting executive reporting and dashboards to Board and Executive committees;
  • Technical risk experience is a plus;
  • Experience in financial services industry;
  • Experience in design, development and production of risk reporting and of tools / methods to enhance and streamline reporting;
  • Understanding of best practice risk management, and how reporting and risk portfolio management supports this;
  • Experience of GRC systems, ideally RSA Archer and/or Service Now;
  • Ability to review and interpret data quickly and accurately;
  • Flexible and resilient, with the ability to manage competing and changing priorities; · Ability to work to deadlines while producing high quality report content.
