本ポジションでは、これらのチャレンジに対してAWSやAmazon の内部ツールを使って、最適なソリューションを提供するBusiness Intelligence Engineerを募集しています。

Amazon Japan continues to grow remarkably every year, and supply chains and transportation (delivery) operations are becoming more complex every day. Along with this, there is a need to create and improve reports and dashboards in each business, automate daily operations, and further improve the efficiency of business operations themselves, and it is necessary to provide optimal solutions to these challenges.
For this position, we are looking for Business Intelligence Engineers to provide optimal solutions using AWS and internal Amazon tools for these challenges.

■The appeal of the position■
・In the delivery business, which is one of the core operations of our company (Amazon), we perform from analysis and improvement proposals to execution while directly communicating with business personnel, so we can provide solutions (process, pipeline, report/dashboard creation, etc.) at our own discretion while understanding internal operations.
・Technical skills can be improved by using Amazon in-house tools and AWS services.
・Depending on the solution, we may collaborate with other regions (US, Europe, India, etc.), and we can engage in business on a global level.
・In addition to normal development, it is necessary to process and analyze huge amounts of data in units of 100 million in daily operations, and skills related to data can be improved.


Key job responsibilities
• 顧客向けのレポート/ダッシュボードを構築してパフォーマンスをトラックします。提供するにあたり、個々もしくは複数のチームにまたがる社内の利害関係者と連携し、必要な指標などを定義し構築します。また、レポート/ダッシュボードを作成するにあたり、テーブルやデータマート、各種Pipeline(ETL)が必要な場合は適宜作成してこれらが自動的に実施されるよう構築しています。
• 各ビジネスチームで実施しているプロセスの問題点を把握しそれぞれのソリューションを提供します。ソリューションを提供するにあたり、AWSやAmazon Internal Toolを使ったアーキテクチャの設計から開発、運用までを担います。
• 日々実行しているpipelineが安定的に実行されるよう監視します。Prime DayやBlack Fridayなどのイベントにおいて事前に逼迫することが想定されるは、事前に拡張しておくなどの措置を検討します。
• 日本以外のRegionとも積極的に連携し、他Regionで導入している Solutionが日本でも有効な場合は、導入計画から実行までを行います。
• Amazon内で導入されているAI/LLM を理解し、各ビジネスユーザが使用するよう啓蒙し、また、必要に応じてトレーニングやユースケースのシェアなどをおこないます。

• Build customer-facing reports/dashboards to track performance. When providing, we define and create necessary indicators, etc. in cooperation with internal stakeholders individually or across multiple teams. Also, when creating reports/dashboards, tables, data marts, and various pipelines (ETL) are created as appropriate and built so that these are automatically executed.
• Understand the problems in the processes implemented by each business team and provide solutions for each. In providing solutions, we are responsible from design to development and operation of architectures using AWS and Amazon Internal Tool.
• Monitor pipelines that run on a daily basis so that they run stably. If events such as Prime Day and Black Friday are expected to be tight in advance, we will consider measures such as expanding them beforehand.
• We cooperate with regions other than Japan, and if solutions introduced in other regions are effective in Japan, we will carry out everything from implementation planning to execution.
• We understand AI/LLM implemented within Amazon, educate each business user to use it, and conduct training and share use cases as needed.

Basic Qualifications

- 2+ years experience writing complex SQL queries
- Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines
- Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools
- Bachelor's degree
- Intermediate level Business Japanese proficiency

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with AWS solutions such as EC2, DynamoDB, S3, and Redshift
- Experience using SQL to pull data from a database or data warehouse and scripting experience (Python) to process data for modeling
- Experience applying basic statistical methods (e.g. regression) to business problems
- Beginner level Business English proficiency
