Scrum Master / Data Manager - Bangalore (India) Based

We are seeking an experienced Scrum Manager to lead the Agile execution of a complex data management transformation program with a focus on implementing a Data Mesh architecture. This role will oversee multiple Agile teams tasked with modernizing our data infrastructure, enhancing governance, and enabling decentralized data ownership and collaboration. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in leading Agile teams in data-driven environments and experience with delivering complex data transformation programs.

Key Responsibilities

• Agile Leadership: Oversee multiple Agile teams to ensure effective implementation of a Data Mesh architecture within a data management transformation program.
• Scrum Facilitation: Lead Scrum ceremonies (stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives) across teams, ensuring alignment with program goals.
• Data Mesh Execution: Drive Data Mesh principles, promoting decentralized data ownership and scalable, domain-oriented data management.
• Team Coaching: Mentor teams in Agile and Scrum practices to improve delivery, quality, and continuous improvement.
• Cross-Team Coordination: Manage dependencies and collaboration between technical and business teams to align efforts on Data Mesh components.
• Stakeholder Alignment: Work closely with Product Owners and business leaders to prioritize needs and ensure governance, democratization, and compliance in data handling.
• Impediment Resolution: Remove blockers to keep teams on track, enabling them to meet critical milestones.
• Progress Tracking: Use Agile metrics to monitor and communicate progress, risks, and issues to senior management.
• Governance and Compliance: Ensure that data governance and regulatory compliance are embedded in the Data Mesh transformation.
• Culture of Collaboration: Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and self-organization.
• Continuous Improvement: Lead retrospectives to drive efficiency, quality, and team dynamics improvements.

What We're Looking for in Our Applicants:

• Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent Agile certification required; additional certifications such as SAFe or PMP-ACP preferred.
• 8+ years of experience in a Scrum Manager, Scrum Master, or Agile Program Manager role, specifically within data management or large-scale transformation initiatives.
• Experience with Data Mesh architecture implementation and an understanding of decentralized data management principles.
• Extensive background in data management, governance, and analytics, with the ability to align data-related initiatives with business outcomes.
• Proven experience managing multiple Agile teams within complex, cross-functional programs, particularly in data transformation projects.
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with experience in coaching Agile teams and engaging with stakeholders at all levels, from team members to senior leadership.
• Excellent problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills, capable of navigating complex technical challenges and aligning team efforts toward shared goals.
• Proficiency in Agile tools and techniques, including JIRA, Confluence, or similar platforms.
• Experience with data platforms and cloud environments like AWS, Azure, or Snowflake, with a solid understanding of modern data architectures.
