Job Description:

The Medicaid Fraud and Patient Abuse Unit seeks applicants for the position of data analyst.

The Analyst assists the Auditors, Investigators, and Attorneys from the Unit in various projects of investigating cases of complex white collar financial crimes and schemes committed by providers of medical services to Medicaid recipients and cases of the misuse of patient funds.
This person may work independently or with the Auditors, Investigators, and Attorneys from the Section.
Work is performed under the general direction of the Auditors and the Unit Director.

This person assists on full investigative audits and analytical procedures relating to criminal and civil investigative work involving methods of fraud examination and forensic accounting and the detection and investigation of violations of applicable Medicaid program statutes and regulations. 

 

Requirements/Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications: Applicants must have at minimum an Associate or Bachelor’s Degree.

Preferred Qualifications: Preference for a major or minor in accounting or a closely related business field.  Interest in learning and performing paralegal work desirable.  Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
